The Civil Rights Summit

About the project

The LBJ Presidential Library planned to honor the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by hosting a Civil Rights Summit – with keynote addresses by President Barack Obama, and former Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush – and selected us to brand the event.

Centered around the oft-quoted anthem “We Shall Overcome,” we created a look and feel for the event; designed the logo; developed an event microsite; printed collateral materials, including invitations, tickets, credentials, signage and program; helped with event publicity; and produced a video chronicling the history of the Civil Rights Movement in America.
