The Congressional Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest military decoration for bravery in combat at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty, and behind each of its nearly 3,500 recipients is a story that represents our most noble American virtues.
We were contacted to help tell the story of the new Medal of Honor Museum being built in South Carolina by developing its visual identity. Our challenge was how to position the museum as a distinct entity apart from other Medal of Honor organizations.
We created a logo and mark design that serves as a visual metaphor of the uniqueness of the Medal of Honor, consisting of a custom drawn Bluebird pentagon ribbon that holds the inverted five-point antique gold star. We then developed extensive brand guidelines with messaging and core values, and a print and digital paper system.
