Our assignment was to help our longtime client H-E-B open its new store at Mueller, a national model for new urbanism design principals. The store design, which includes many environmental innovations and serves as the company’s test store for environmental sustainability, took years to plan. We spent a full year planning the community campaign and public relations to launch the store.
We held neighborhood meetings about store design; conducted early tours with key community leaders; performed publicity and social media exposure for the grand opening; and coordinated a food media and blogger event to introduce the store’s new restaurant concept. The store opening was covered by all major Austin media, online and in social media.
