Central Texas Food Bank

About the project

When the Central Texas Food Bank was ready to begin building its new $25-million distribution facility, we were tasked with planning and publicizing the April 1st groundbreaking ceremony. We worked with Austin Mayor Steve Adler to officially proclaim the date “April Food Day,” and enlisted local celebrity chefs to pen an op-ed for the daily paper applauding the new warehouse.

At the site, we conceptualized and constructed a stage and backdrop featuring renderings of the finished facility, and our team oversaw logistics and public relations for the entire ceremony – including news releases for media, talking points for speakers, branded collateral for the crowd, and shovel-size spoons for the groundbreakers. Packed with participants, this “breaking ground on ending hunger” received coverage by all local media.
